Tour Details

We'll meet at the scheduled time in front of The Giant 3D Cat to begin a walking tour of one of the most peaceful corners of the Japanese capital, Shakujii Park. Shall we? Let's get started!

Our first stop will be Shakujii Lake, the heart of this green oasis. As we stroll along its leafy paths, we'll share legends of long-lost castles, all while enjoying the calm atmosphere that surrounds us.

Just a few minutes from the lake, we'll find the Uchida Mansion, an elegant traditional Japanese house that once belonged to an influential family. We'll explore its perfectly preserved wooden interior and gardens, stepping back in time to 20th-century Japan as we learn how the aristocracy lived.

Next, we'll continue the tour to the Nerima Art Museum, a space dedicated to local artistic talent. We'll visit its exhibitions, which blend works by established artists with emerging figures in Japanese art. A must-see for culture lovers!

Finally, we'll venture into the lush greenery surrounding Sanpōji Temple. This historic Buddhist sanctuary, little known even among many Tokyo residents, is the perfect place to end the tour with a moment of serenity before the image of Kannon, the goddess of mercy.

4 hours later, we’ll return to the original meeting point in Tokyo.
